Where do I start?

Where do I even start...maybe that is the reason I haven't bloggity-blogged for so long! I have been going through pictures and I realized it really doesn't matter where I start as long as I post what our family has been up to! Here we go, in random order of course! We took a wonderful 9 day vacation (including the drive) to Carlsbad, California! We try to make this trip each year, and it is always a GREAT time! We did all the usual, except this year, we brought my baby Sis along to be our photographer. She did an amazing job all week long, and then we took an afternoon to do family shots. Thanks a million Ashley, we love them! And we hope you want to come back next year!
Here is the entire Carpenter clan, what a CRAZY CREW! I love this in black and white, and what makes it even more exciting, is that the cute young couple on the bottom right are NOW ENGAGED! Congrats Brad and Kam, we are so THRILLED for both of you!
Here is my baby Fifi- I can't believe she is 4! I didn't post anything from her birthday so I will give a shout out now! She has grown up so much this past year! She really wanted to try out for a dance team and after a fun 2 day try-out experience, she is now our little "Micro Starburst"... she couldn't wait to get her required outfits, because when she saw these girls at the April recital in the Spring all matching, that was all she wanted was to do what they were doing! She is enjoying dancing and singing all over the place! I can only imagine how crazy my Dad went 24/7 trying to escape the girls' in his household, dancing in front of the big mirror in the front room- oh how I feel for him now! And I only have one! She is a diva, a sweetheart, she is constantly telling her brothers' how much she loves them, and she is always reminding us to say our prayers! Love you princess!
This is our most recent fun...ode to the CABIN! Chris and Alli invited us to their annual Fall Break cabin jaunt and we had a riot of a time! Too many oreo balls were eaten, lots of laughter, fabulous time getting to know Doug and Nikki (they are a hoot), watching the kids have way too much anxiety over Uncle Chris telling his yearly "WALTER" story, thank goodness he didn't! I also loved seeing the dynamics of the kids this year. Josie fell head over heels for Peyton (hope I spelled it right) and we are so thankful that Uncle Chris- SAVED HER LIFE AND BECAME HER HERO... Kaden enjoyed his girl time with the ladies, and Colton and Robbie enjoyed every 4-wheeler ride, shooting their BB guns, and just being boys. My favorite part was shooting the guns. I have never shot a rifle in my life, and WHAT A RUSH! I am looking forward to shooting again, sooner than later! And last but not least, we SOOOOOO missed the Walkers! What a great time! Thanks again Chris and Alli, I don't think fall break is ever as fun as gettin' a little dirt under the nails and not showering for 3 days!

dreading the Walter story, thanks for not ruining their night Chris!

Next time I post, it will be more about:

  • Jen running her 10k and half-marathons, and her great experience eating asphalt!
  • Brian learning how to cook, his work, his hating the cold weather, and his funny remarks that he's been making lately!
  • Colton has been up to his neck in reading...nothing new. Loving school, football season, and just simply waiting for Mom and Dad to turn back on the cable!
  • Kaden and his lady friends in Kindergarten, how bored he is, how he just loves doing his "cool" hair-do's....
  • Josie and her dancing, how she is simply labeled in our home as "Princess Pigsty", how she has become more of a diva, and how she now is trying to get her brothers' in trouble!
  • what a horrible person I have been and never mentioned my little luv of a pup- Jaq!
